Is this aesthetic injection technique painful?

No. The doctor administers a small local anaesthetic at the 2-3 entry points necessary to insert the needle and disperse the hyaluronic acid under your skin. The needle used is flexible and has a rounded, non-sharp tip. It glides smoothly under your skin without injuring the tissue. In addition, hyaluronic acid contains a light anaesthetic which will act during the injection session to avoid any pain.

I have never done anything in aesthetic medicine but now my wrinkles are bothering me and I see my face getting older. Is the Softlift indicated?

Yes, rather than correcting the signs of ageing wrinkle by wrinkle, it is better to approach the face as a whole. This is the best way to restore its harmony and youthfulness.

Is the hyaluronic acid used for an anti-wrinkle approach the same as that used to increase the volume of the lips?

Our doctors use several types of hyaluronic acid from the Belotero and Juvederm brands; some are more reticulated (gel-like consistency) to work on the volume of the cheekbones for example; and some are more fluid, to beautify areas where the skin is thinner, such as under the eyes.

What risks and side effects can be expected after a Softlift?

As with any type of injection, there is a 10% chance of bruising. Hyaluronic acid captures and retains water, which can create transient oedemas that last a few days. During the consultation, our doctor will explain to you in detail how the treatment will be carried out and what will happen afterwards.

Can I have another treatment right after a Softlift?

Botulinum toxin injections can be performed the same day as the Softlift. Peels, lasers and other facials are recommended either a few days before or a few days after, but should be avoided on the same day.

Is the result comparable to a facelift?

The Softlift does not claim to achieve the same result as a surgical facelift. However, it lifts the facial features, slightly tightens the skin, and gives the face a more positive expression. Plastic surgery is indicated when the facial skin is very loose and wrinkled. However, unlike the Softlift which also improves the quality of the skin, the facelift has no effect on the texture and colour of the complexion.
