Sagging eyelids are a progressive phenomenon that affects the beauty and freshness of the eyes. The Plex-R offers a medical solution to tighten and smooth the skin. The device uses radiofrequency energy to superficially vaporise sagging and wrinkled tissue point by point. Although its primary application is medial blepharoplasty, the Plex-R can be used to treat other small areas of sagging skin, such as crow's feet, around the lips and between the ears and jawline.

Benefits

Used on the upper eyelids, PlexR has a lifting effect. By correcting the heavy eyelid effect, it opens and relaxes the eyes. When applied to areas such as the mouth or eye area, Plex-R corrects crow's feet and bar code wrinkles, respectively. The result is younger-looking skin.

Recommendations

This treatment marks the skin with small, closely spaced dots (these are mini scabs that fall off after a few days and leave the skin pinkish dots for about a month). It is advisable to use Plex-R in autumn and winter to minimise exposure to the sun while the skin is healing.

What is the interval between 2 Plex-R sessions?

If the degree of skin laxity requires more than one Plex-R session, the interval between sessions is 1 to 2 months, depending on the speed of skin recovery.

Is this treatment painful?

Thanks to the application of an anaesthetic cream one hour before the Plex-R session, there is only slight discomfort during the session.

Does the Plex-R offer the same result as eyelid surgery?

The lifting effect of the Plex-R treatment is more subtle than that of a surgical blepharoplasty. When the excess skin on the upper eyelids is very important, when we speak of drooping eyelids rather than heavy eyelids, then surgery is indicated. Plex-R can be used as a complementary treatment to a blepharoplasty, to correct fine lines around the eyes.
